Hello and thanks for stopping in to learn more about me!
My name is Casey Provost and I am excited to be at EES in my third year for the 2016/2017 school year as the Home/School Coordinator.
What does a Home/School Coordinator do?
The name can be a little confusing, because the focus of my work is on building and strengthening relationships between the school and homes for our students and families. Mostly, this means helping students get connected with resources of many different kinds - both in school and in the community outside of school. We are fortunate to have many new students join us each year and a big part of my job is to help transition each of them to make sure that students and families are successful in their new environment. If you have questions about how I might be able to support your child, please don't hesitate to call me or e-mail me and we can set up an appointment to meet in person so I can learn more about you and your family.
A little bit about me
I've been living in Vermont since the summer of 2013. I enjoy living in Enosburg and find it similar to the town where I grew up, in Chazy, NY. After graduating from high school in Chazy, I was able to spend time at a few different colleges in a few different places and eventually earned my bachelor's degree in Mental Health and Human Services from Franciscan University of Steubenville, in Steubenville, Ohio. After that, I earned a master's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh in School Counseling. I love what I do and I feel very fortunate to be able to live and work in this community!
When I'm not working at school, I keep busy working at other jobs, visiting family, friends, and spend many weekends in Montreal. I love to travel and was fortunate to visit France in the spring.
